Ezekiel Elliott features Elliott, a young running back for the Dallas Cowboys, showing his exceptional speed and agility in a 2016 NFL game against the Detroit Lions. After the opening chapter, each book looks at the athlete's younger years, introduces their families and their activities outside sports, and concludes with their overall achievements. In addition, Fishman makes a point of discussing each individual's choices when it comes to fitness, diet, and exercise routines. Written in short sentences, the books are accessible to some primary-grade readers, but the straightforward design and the many clearly reproduced action photos ensure that they will appeal to older kids as well.
