It describes the story of McCaslin family of  Yoknapatawpha, including the fates of several generations of two collateral series of White people and mulatto in this family. The central figure is Isaac, the last generation of this family. Hunting in the forest and blood and tears of black people in the south written in the account of the manor economy has a significant impact on Isaac. The author gives up the common narrative skill, while focuses on operating great dramatic scenes which are also full of poetic atmosphere, so that this book becomes "the epitome of southern earth and the history of the development and variation of the whole south". Go Down, Moses! (Bilingual Edition) has special significance to Faulkner's creations, and is the last summing-up representative work at the high time for Faulkner's creation.
